Are Costum Bots Better And If So, What Exactly Makes Them Better?

#3 Scalability I will simplify this one a bit as the full answer can be quite complex and go into very deep rabbit holes. When you write a custom bot, you can already plan how much would you want to scale it. For example, you can make them use the same database so that even if you use...

Are Costum Bots Better And If So, What Exactly Makes Them Better?

Cheers. Prometheus have a small but annoying learning curve but ChatGPT is awesome to answer questions about setup and configuration, way better than googling or reading their docs. I use docker for Prometheus setup, it helps a ton to get it up instantly.

Are Costum Bots Better And If So, What Exactly Makes Them Better?

#2 Analytics. Lately, I have adapted Prometheus+graphana in my bots, never seen any other bot devs doing the same. It's like having a really really bright hand torch in a dark room. In this current graph, it's 14000 instances(bots) running at the same time doing various things. Every...

Are Costum Bots Better And If So, What Exactly Makes Them Better?

#1 Control. With custom bots, you can have more control of the software itself and results it's produces. If you face errors and issues like shadowbans, bans or any other problems - with a custom-built bot can adapt faster to it as it will be built per your requirements.

To those who believe that ChatGPT will replace Google

Yes, but eventually it might, that's why everyone is talking and comparing it because if on initial release it's so close, then it will probably happen way faster than in 5 years.

To those who believe that ChatGPT will replace Google

I will quote google on this: "The first version of Google was released in August 1996 on the Stanford website. It used nearly half of Stanford's entire network bandwidth. BackRub is written in Java and Python and runs on several Sun Ultras and Intel Pentiums running Linux. The primary database...

To those who believe that ChatGPT will replace Google

But what if I'm fine with a bit of outdated data in return for improved readability and explanations? Take for example software programming, it does not change so fast and it's perfectly fine to learn Javascript or Python on data that is being aggregated a few years back. I agree that it...

How did ChatGPT actually help you so far?

I started to use it instead of google for software development. Lately, I did a full setup of Prometheus and Graphana only using ChatGPT suggestions. Sometimes it gave bad query examples because its data is a bit outdated I guess but in general, I think I did the setup twice as fast because...
