buying backlinks and paid posts

so i am under the imprrssion that buying backlinks is bad. and if u get caught by google they will penalize your site.

so how is it that seo companies can charge for backlinks and guest posting. isnt that the samething as buying links?

webstie sells blog post spot to seo guy then i pay the seo guy
i dont see how this is any different. they out reach to a domain and i pay for tye article. only differnce is i pay the seo company instead of the website directly.

It is not any different.

If google could determine the link is bought, they would ignore it. If they believe your site is buying a lot of links they would penalize the site.

The only difference between guest posts and other paid links (say from a PBN) is that they might be harder to detect as paid. (Although most “guest posts” that you’ll buy on the forum are on websites that basically exist to sell guest posts, so there’s really no difference between that and a PBN except the distributed ownership.)

Thanks, that's exactly what I though. SEO guys selling me services and there black hat techniques. Don't know if I should mention the company here...

So, there is a report button in google console i believe, to report any site you think might be buying back links. Is this true? you can report other websites to google claiming the're purchasing links?

It's surprisingly hard to find good outreach services, you mostly have to knuckle down and do it yourself -> authorityhacker . com/link-building-services/
