What about links in that period? Have you checked if the site gained some links that helped it to rank better?

It doesn't matter if you proactively built links or that the site gained them naturally because of the social activity... bottom line could be that the social didn't impact the search ranking but those links did.

Thanks for some great data to look at. :D

Wish you would split the site up a bit for split testing purposes and do regular SEO + social signals to certain parts and then compare those to the parts that get only social signals.

buddy, the customer had got SEO done for a long time and the visitors had become stagnant. We will be continuing social signals for this month and then we would be getting seo done along with social signals next month to get much better impact !

How'd you drip feed that many +1s?

As I mentioned earlier, we took 25 urls for each month, we got around 40 g+1s per day on different urls in a random way, so within 25 working days, the website received 1000 plus 1s.

Where did you buy the social links?

We provide the social links on our own buddy. The process is done by my employees.

There's one massive oversight in this case study IMO

What about conversions? Have they increased/decreased/stayed the same?

Traffic is one thing. Results are another.

yeah, The good part is that the time on site for visitors has increased, and so have the conversions.
The customer was taking email ids of interested people through a subscription form.
He has now started receiving more number of subscribers! He is pretty happy about it :D

I may have missed it BUT did this do anything for your rankings based on keywords? Movement up or down?

I still have to check that in detail and report back.

There is no seo being done for the company right now, since I am doing their complete online promotion. so, there were no links that the website got.

since there was no other backlinking done, it was only social signals that have made an impact on the increase in visitors on the website.

google+ is good for traffic...

yes, it definitely is !

Wow, This is super cool. Got some great tips for how to deploy plus ones or these social signals to all the urls.
Btw, Op ,I didnt get the part, that is

We already have linked a Google Plus profile page to the fb fanpage, so whatever is posted on the fb fanpage, it also gets posted automatically on the google plus profile page

How you do that?

A very cool case study. I too am researching what "value" social signals have on organic search visitors. I would like to add some of my experience to this thread. Whilst drip feeding in social signals is great we have found that there is a better way to do this.....

1. very sparingly add +1, tweet, like to older pages on a site.
2. create new content on the same site
3. hit the new content quite hard with some social signals early (depends on the page view volume) and then slowly drop it down to a drip

Here's the important bit...

When you start to receive more organic visitors to that page (new content) it is important to increase the flow of the drip proportional to volume increase. After some time the "new content" becomes self sustaining and you can remove the drip.

I am trying to work an automated buying process of social signals to replicate this behavior but I think it might be beyond me

Yes,

I agree with you, it is important to have more social signals on the newer posts :)

but I wont suggest removing the drip feed once the visitors start rolling in, It is at this time, the drip should be sustained in order to get even more views and more visitors to the site !
