I started the challenge also today. I created an account and deposited $20 to it.
Had my level 1 trades today and my actual ending balance today is $33.5.

I think focusing on one commodity is important so that you can be really focused and drilled in.
I trade forex and only trade GBPUSD. For others it may be different. You just have to find a style that suits your personality and run with it.
