Failed Blogger with 350+ Keywords on First Page with Good Search Volumes - What's Next

Hi Friends,

I started my blogging career 24 months ago and wrote 400+ blog posts during this period. Almost 100% original content and 2-3 posts per week with related images and graphics. Here are some key metrics:

Domain Authority: 19
Page Authority: 26
Moz Trust: 3
Spam Score: 1%
Age: 2 Years+

Page Speed Insights: Around 90+ for all Pages

Total Post: 442 (Average 1500 words per post)
Total Indexed Pages/Posts: 410

Total Clicks: 822
Total Impression: 146K
Average CTR: 0.6%
Average Position: 25.8
Keywords on First Page: 250+ (Please see attached PDF for Details)

Top Countries: USA (50%), UK (35%), India (9%), Others (6%)

The problem is traffic, I am getting around 800 views per month. My plan was to earn around $250 per month but getting around $10 per month on average (google adsense).

Also, according to keyword tools, all targeted keywords have an average 400+ monthly search volume.

The Big Question???

What to do? Please suggest. I am really confused, what to do next???

Your CTR is crazy low for the 1-2 positions.
Work on your titles, add some catchy meta descriptions, and don't let Google guess.

That is very low CTR.

Put eye catchy headlines. Use a tool like https://www.portent.com/tools/title-maker/ to generate headlines.

3 * 96 = 288.. I think you put out more than three articles per week.

Nevertheless, 800+ clicks for 400 post is crazy low.. Too too low.

Replace AdSense with Ezoic, although you might not see much based on your traffic but it'll be better than AdSense of course, you may face some speed issues.

Above all 350 KWs on first page for just 800montly traffic?

Optimize your Meta title, make use of power words, words that would make people want to click.

Do some research on how to increase your CTR..

Your CTR is in mess. What type of keywords are you targeting? Is it needed for the searcher to click on the search results to find his answer or is the answer available on the search result page itself?

Example - If the keyword is "what is the age of Elon Musk?" Google will show the age on the search results page itself and the searcher will mostly not click on the search results aka websites ranking for the keyword. Are you targeting keywords like these?

Maybe your blog not optimised as per seo. You should consult some seo expert and get on page seo done.

Lot of problems.
With all things equal, I suspect it's the niche.
Some niches are just too tough to make money.
With 400 post you should be getting at least 10k visitors per month.

Where the backlinks at, how many backlinks do you have. How about traffic from social media. Damn man, this is not good. I got a blog about this time with over 10K+ clicks and only 90 post and haven't touched it in like 2 years.

What is your niche? 800 visitors for 400 blog posts is too low.
My blog gets 10k UVs with just 16 articles.
As what other members are suggesting, work on titles.

You must be targeting generic niches that don't encourage high CTR.

I used ubersuggest for keyword research and not targeting keywords like this.

I didn't work on backlinks. Only social shares and a few backlinks by Fiverr freelancers.

I think so. I used Rank Math SEO plugin. Is it ok to remove Rank Math SEO plugin and check for a few weeks?

Yes, I am going to work on Titles and update if getting any progress in CTR.

I use RankMath, you shouldn’t have any problem with it.
The only thing I don’t do is that I ignore its keyword density suggestions. My articles are ranking while some of my articles have RankMath SEO score below 30

1. Keep adding content.
2. change your monetization strategy. Adsense is no longer as profitable.
