How unique does your content need to be TO RANK WELL in Google? Minimum 70% unique? 99% unique? But by what checker?

I've been blogging a long time with manually written articles to rank and bring in Google traffic, but with better spinners these days, does 70%+ unique content rank from spinners?

I tested an article in Word-AI, here are the results:
word-AI gives a score of 85% unique.
dupchecker shows 80% unique.
copyscape shows 50% unique when comparing article to article.

So, which checker do you use to check uniqueness? And how unique does content need to be for Google to be satisfied and rank you well?

Anyone have experience?

it doesn't have to be unique at all, you can also rank with duplicate content.
think of news sites. many report the same stuff in similar wording. other sites copy full paragraphs and it still works fine.
copyscape means nothing to google.

Website authority matters. May websites are ranking with copied content.

You will get conflicting information on this, but I'm reading frequently much more than the past that duplicate content will rank.

You have to understand one thing and is that for google spined content is all the same. Spinners just don´t work anymore as well as years ago. Google index since a few years ago all like a spinner, so they understand what you are doing, and usually, those sites with spun don´t rank as well anymore.

Check this: https://patents.google.com/patent/US8375042

And that unique/plagiarism checker looks for an exact match... but don´t worry.... you can copy an entire article and rank over the original one if you site structure, internal linking, and external linking is better for the main keywords than the copied website... there is no penalty for duplicate content, google just decide what duplicate content show, and usually is the one with better SEO, not the original one.

I'm creating mass pages for local SEO using almost completely duplicate content and ranking well, like multiple pages on the 1st page for a keyword. Duplicate content can rank just fine.

Spinners are not creating readable content.
I know many spinners do not create readable content, but times have changed and Word-AI churns out some pretty good stuff. TY

So, you have no problem ranking content that is already on the web? I feel like 100% unique content may rank better, or in the future 100% will def rank better as Google AI improves. I do know that when I search through flippa sites, the most profitable sites do not have any plagiarized content, however there are people on the web stealing content from the flippa unique sites. Another aspect I've read about is that sites which people steal from actually perform better because Google recognized the original site as important content and bumps it in serps. Thats an interesting concept that I don't know much about. TY

Great! I do know that you can get content indexed FAST, specially is you have large article content pages with 1K+ words. Do you think your copied content will ever lose rank or drop of the map entirely at some point. That's also what I'm worried about. If I start sharing spun content, will I be slapped one day? Then all that hard work was for nothing? I also don't see duplicate content sites for sell in flippa, that may be another downside. People dont want copywritten sites because of the risks. TY

Yes, lots of different thoughts everywhere. Many I've spoken to have said duplicate content ranks and brings search visitors, but it may be that 100% unique content across the entire site has the edge and will rank even better and bring in even more visitors. However, if it's more of a site structure thing for ranking, then that theory is out the window. Need experienced advice. TY

Yes, I would think any bit of duplicate content would be a con in Googles eyes. I know that some spinners actually rewrite readable content, so that's not a problem anymore. I've been interested to know how deep Googles AI goes lol. Are they scanning endless sites and checking not only duplicate content but also any percentage of plagiarized content so you receive less rank depending on how much plagiarized content you use? I really don't know how Google would penalize particular percentages of plagiarized content. I know statistical numbers and some proper name phrases have to be duplicate, but I mean like a 20 word duplicate sentence in the middle of an article, how does Google feel about that? I don't know. I had read, if you give credit with a link to the original article where the first instance of that sentence was, that may actually help in Googles eyes, but of course thats link juice leaking out of that page, and we don't want that either. Or maybe we do lol. But it seems there is a concensus on here regarding ranking dup content and that it DOES RANK. hm, and I suppose then, that it does receive the same traffic as any other ranked site. ok. TY

Hey, that's great! I guess I've been wondering how long that may last tho. I ran a test and use to copy entire live sites years ago and there would be thousands of pages, but gave up on that wild idea because the pages would not rank the same, but in theory it should according to what everyone here says. Has Google decided to accept more dup content? Do they prefer more unique content vs duplicate content? Will Google penalize dup content one day? hm I dono. TY

no not at all. i have sites up since many years that still rank with scraped/spinned or even markov content. though many of them are cloaked.
if you have a whitehat site that you want to build up, sure then original content is probably better, but in general if you just build affiliate sites with which you just focus on making profit, then auto generated content works fine.

That's a wrong question, you should ask does my content fulfil user intent, if yes then you may get your answer.
