Hey everyone!

I've been lurking on BHW for quite some time now, so I've decided to finally register my account and introduce myself with this journey.

About me:
I'm a 23-year-old guy from South-Eastern Europe with some pretty big goals. Ever since I was a kid I dreamed about making money through my PC. I've tried so many different tactics, ranging from Instagram botting, building Facebook pages, to e-Whoring, but even though some of those methods brought me money, they never brought that much joy into my life. At the moment I'm working as a social media manager for a big tech company, and since I've been a tech fan my whole life, I've decided to give my dreams a go and make a website in a technology niche. I know that this niche is a bit difficult, but I've found a great sub-niche within it that I actually personally enjoy so I believe that this website will bring me great joy while I work on it! Ever since I've found BHW, I've started learning about SEO, and I have to say that I've learned a lot in theory, but it's time to do it in practice!

Why now?
Well, I guess that the 20s are the best time to start doing something in your life because you're still young and you can afford to lose because nobody depends on you.

Investments
- 20 for a domain at the start of December
- 220$ for a VPS hosting (1 year)
- 60$ WP theme
- Around 400$ for articles (so far)

How will I do it?
My plan is to focus on high-quality content that's focused on solving specific peoples' problems in the technology niche. I've posted a job on Upwork a couple of days ago, and I've received 19 proposals. I've interviewed all of those writers, and I've decided to go with 4 of them since I really liked their writing style.
When it comes to SEO, I will be doing manual outreach to other tech-related websites. Since my job pays me fairly well, I'll probably invest 400$-500$ on backlinks per month. And when it comes to publishing, I'll be posting 2 articles per day on my website just to help it grow faster. Right now I have 54 published articles on my website.

Goals?
My ultimate goal is to get the site on Mediavine or Adthrive, which means that I'll need either 50,000 pageviews (Mediavine) or 100,000 pageviews (Adthrive), but I don't think I'll be able to do it at least until February 2023.

My goals for this year are the following:

  1. 30,000 pageviews (monthly)
  2. Ads income - 300$ per month
  3. Lose some weight
  4. Socialize more

That's it for now! I think I've said everything that I wanted to say. I wish you all the best of luck on your own journeys! Let's slay this together!

Good luck with your journey.
Hope you reach your goal.
How long is your article?
Why VPS now? You could have been used it later when your site receive enough traffic.

Thanks a lot for the kind words! :)

My articles are usually in the range of 1300-1500 words.
I got the VPS now because I'm too lazy to be changing the hostings when my site grows, so I figured to do the future myself a favour and just get the VPS one right away xd

I've been following a lot of different journeys here on BHW so I found a way to find low competition keywords.
It's late to change hostings now, but you should know that it usually shouldn't take more than a few minutes to just use a migration plugin and move a website. Hope you get to the desired traffic in one year's time so that it would be worth it:)

Oh I know, but as I've said I'm just too lazy for that I guess, plus it was within my budget so I figured that it's gonna be okay

I've found my writers on freelancing platforms, such as Freelancer & Fiverr. So far I'm very happy with the ones that I've decided to continue working together!

Thanks a lot! I'll check your journey as well! For the keyword research I'm using Ahrefs, bought it with 2 of my friends so we split the price on 3 parts :)

Looks good.

You mentioned ads, but are you going to monetize via affiliate too? Amazon or any other. Goes hand in hand with the tech niche.

Thank you!

Of course, I'll use Amazon, but only after my site starts getting traffic from my informational articles. So, basically, I'll make affiliate articles once my website gets some authority :)

Thanks a lot for following guys! Glad to have you here on my journey :)

Last night I got a weird flow and I was doing keyword research from 11 PM until 3 AM. After that I got blocked on group buy Ahrefs for 24 hours so it looks like that I won't do that much work today, guess I'll just forward article ideas to my writers. I've found around 60 very good low competition article ideas that I think I can rank easily for in a couple of months.

Update

The site's been doing incredibly well. This is the first time that my site started getting picked up in Google so fast. Even though the site is not even a month old, it has already started getting impressions and some very low (understandable) clicks from Google.

I guess the high-quality + niche relevant backlinks really do pay off because Google seems to like my site after I've done a PR campaign + guest posts. Google indexes my posts rapidly, as you can see in the screenshot down below:

What's next?
I'll continue publishing two new posts per day—one in the morning and the other one in the evening (at my local time). Once I get my paycheck, I'll probably get a few more guest posts through manual outreach just to help the site grow even quicker. I feel like that high-quality niche relevant guest posts are doing the same thing to the site as the water does to a little seed. It just helps it grow into a beautiful tree. I may be wrong, and I know that many people from Income School and other places really don't like to build links, but my personal opinion is that they really help you to speed up the process of growth. But, as I've said, I may be wrong. However, only time will tell if I'm right or wrong, so I'll be patient and continue doing the work my way. Thanks to everyone who's following my journey. I don't have that many real-life friends to whom I can talk about the work I'm doing, so if you've got any questions or would just like to chat some time, feel free to reach out or post a comment here :)

Stay positive, and test negative (fuck covid) ;)
Cheers!
