About Me
I'm 20 years old, from Germany, I study Business administration at university and also work at a hotel.
Why do I write this journey?
I like to think that by writing down what you do, you better understand what you're doing and how to improve it. Also, it will be nice looking back at this thread in a few year's time.
What's the goal of the journey?
As the title suggests, to travel the world from the earnings of my sites. I'll finish university in October 2023, at that point in time I want to financially be able to do that.
Why do I want to grow multiple sites at the same time?
I started my first site in English and while it's going much better than expected so far I quickly realized that it would have been much smarter to start a site in german as the competition is much less. For now, I only have 2 sites in my portfolio but I'm planning to add a third one this summer.
My Niche Site Portfolio (as of 11.05.21)
Site 1: (written in English)
Domain bought on 24.01.21
Monetized through Amazon and a few other affiliate programs, all content is purely buyer-oriented, either best... or ... review
Total earnings March 21: 84,64
Amazon: 1,24
other affiliate programs: 83,4
Total earnings April 21: 316,17
Amazon: 19,22
other affiliate programs: 296,95
Site 2: (written in German)
Domain bought on 15.04.21
no content on the site as of yet.
What have I spent so far?
Around 1,5k Euros, on educational content, backlinks, site hosting, plugins, Grammarly, content, ai writing tools, etc.
What's my process?
I design my websites in webflow and export the code to WordPress.
I hired a Filipino writer back in Feb and while his content was good I noticed that my process wasn't good enough yet to source out.
Most of the content is therefore written by me. I purchased the monthly plan on conversion.ai last month to speed up my writing process, it offers 2 seats for team members for free with my plan. The goal for the next months is to develop a good content process that allows outsourcing.
Note: I started a journey before but as I don't like the title of my last journey and I'm now adding more sites to my portfolio I figured I'd like to start fresh.
