Hello,
One day I woke up and noticed that a lot (most) of the keywords on my website became unranked (image is attached).
Can anyone recommend a solution here?
I already checked the search console, there is nothing about the ban and so on. Looks all good, except a big drop in rankings.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

You got hit by the recent google update. Read threads about it on bhw, there is one with 300 replies. You will get ideas about how to revive this blog.

Hi,

The same thing happened to me TODAY.

My website is whitehat and my only source of income. I'm devastated and not sure what to do?

Just because you don't know how to use AI...
So you know... google uses AI and it can't read text.
If you do something against google policy, its considered black hat. So you expect your site to lose all the traffic at any time.

I hope you can understand me. I didn't say AI content is bad or something.

Okay, so your site got butchered in this update!

g6R9B9Q.gif

There are a few ways to deal with this situation:
  • Leave the site as it is. After 3-4 months, buy a new domain and redirect this website to the new domain + all the content
  • Or, leave the site as it is till the next update. Many times site that gets butchered recovers in the next update.
  • Or, Start working on the site. If you have a lot of affiliate posts, add a lot of informational posts. Buy super-strong PBN links, and Do a Press Release.

I hope that helps.
The choice of the solution depends on the budget that you have.

Can you recommend any decent guideline to do that?
I don't think there is a guideline per se. As it's a hit-or-miss strategy. Just go through any youtube video, where it shows how to redirect a website to a new domain (and do that after 3-4 months). It's just a way to bypass the update (if that happens).

Redirect the whole Website with all Content. I think you know the basics for example keeping the same URL format etc.

If you're planning to do this than you should know that you have to keep your old Website for at least 1 year or till the next update if the bypass didn't work. Of course without the content just the redirects.

If you use WordPress you can simply do this with the Plugin "301 Redirect" it has an option to do it by one click. After that you have only access to your wp-admin site. everything else is redirected.

You can also do this by htaccess but it is a little more expense.

Yeah, you make a website to rank in Google. You broke it at that point. No reason to think there is a website on the internet that will last, except some authority crap. Good luck getting that 50 dr writing content. See ya in 10 years.
