Meta description not appearing, SEO title is not updating

2 months back I had posted some articles on an expired domain.
1 Month back I updated those articles and and article still hasn't got update in serp (SEO title and date)
so I decided to go to webmaster>removals and from there I cleared cache of my entire domain
now when I am searching my site with site:example.com
none of the articles showing meta description.

do manual submission of your website on google and check if meta data updated in google search.

so seems like this option removes the description? I thought it would just clear the cache. I cancelled this request.
But my SEO title which I updated a month back still isnt updated in serp, I also changed the date recently.
