Poll & Discussion: DR vs TF vs DA

Hi members of BHW,
which off-page metric do you prefer to evaluate the SEO power of a domain? I would be interested in your opinions!

I have used Majestic a lot in the past, and I like their Trust Flow (TF) metric for a rough assessment of a domain (competition and expired domain analysis). Few years ago, I have tested Moz's Domain Authority (DA) and TF. I decided to go with TF because it had a higher correlation with Google rankings from my testing. Today it could be different, though. I can imagine that things have changed. If anyone here likes to take a deep dive, I would really appreciate it.

Ahrefs UR.

As a first metric i am looking for.
But everytime you need to analyze backlinks profile manually for clear image.

Ahrefs crawls all backlinks very fast.
Moz is very outdated company, and their metric can be easily faked.
Majestic - sometimes can be usual, but they do not see all the backlinks.

Interesting answer! I agree. No metric can replace a qualitative analysis. Why do you choose UR over DR for domain assessment?

So you prefer UR over TF because UR is more complete due to a larger covering of backlinks?

UR reflects backlinks power to the linking page. It is not complete metric - as Ahrefs does not filter any linking URLs - it can be spam comments with thousands of OBL.
But in my opinion Ahrefs has most completed backlink profiles of sites / URLs - that's why i prefer them.

TF and UR can be very conflicting metric - some URLs can have many do-follow linking domains / URLs - with a good metric - and also good by manual check.
It can have high UR but low TF, and vice versa.

Thanks for the interesting hint! I will check those links out. A more complete backlink profile is definitely a good thing and a prerequisite to a good metric imo.
