Scaling My Authority Site From 1k Monthly to 3k

Hello

I started a website about 2 years ago and I managed to grow it to 1k revenue a month. In this journey I am aiming to scale this site to 3k a month by December 2022

About Me

I am 40, Married and I have a 4 year old daughter. I also have a 9-5 job. As you can probably guess I don't have to much spare time to work on my website.

About My Site

I already completed a journey thread on this site where I took the site to the following stats in December 2021

Niche = Pet
Visitors = 30,700
Articles = 348
DA = 26
Ezoic Revenue = 997
Amazon Revenue = 117
Total Revenue = 1114 USD

What I have Done Recently

In order to reach my goal I have done the following in the last 2 months

1. Published 228 Articles
2. Rewritten or Improved about 20 existing articles
3. Trained My writer on how to add articles to wordpress, format them to my needs and publish them
4. Added around 200 new internal links
5. Added more Amazon aff links in articles
6. Enabled Amazon onelink, I now ear aff income on amazon .co.uk .ca .au and .com

The biggest thing holding me back was publishing articles, I have spent a lot of time training my writer to publish articles for me. This free's up my time for other tasks.

Whats The Plan For The Future

I am currently targeting 0 google search keywords with very low competition. I find because my site has authority it ranks quite high and fast for these keywords. Below is a graph that shows only these 0 search keywords that i have gone after and how much traffic they bring in.



I am spending my time to do keyword research which I do via keywordchef tool.

I am also considering making an selling an ebook on my site. I am still researching this and will update you on what i decide.

I plan to update monthly on my progress so wish me luck

You seem to be a serious person, you'll probably grind this until your goal will be reached. I'm guessing you have way more info articles than money pages? This would explain why 90% of your revenue is from display ads.

I pay my writer $30 an article which is usually 1000+ words

Thanks, the most important thing for this journey is to post high quality articles and be patient.

I dont have any "Review" or "%%% VS %%%" articles, I only have info articles and I drop aff links in there where it makes sense.

For example if i wrote the article "How to remove moss from grass" I would put a line in that says, I use this product (Available on Amazon) which ,,,,,,,,

Good luck to you! I liked your original journey a lot (even referred to it in my journey thread). It wasn't too fancy, but you really meant business, and stayed consistent with your plan, month after month, always publishing, growing steadily.

228 new articles is no little number, and I think it is a realistic goal to get to 3K/month by the end of the year if you are consistent like with your previous journey. Maybe then you can even quit your daily job? In any case, all the best with your efforts!

What’s your ezoic epmv? It must be pretty decent to get almost 1k with 30k sessions.

Ezoic usually pays more than Adsense.

Thanks, I followed your journey and it really helped me with motivation. I missed my mention But the #1 thing to push you forward it to be consistent and keep posting. Its so easy to want to give up when a google update hits you. I hope to start my journey to 10k like your soon

My EPVM in december was around 25usd, this month its down to around 14 usd
