Why did you decide to write content? Why didn't you choose AI or paraphrasing, generation? Have you had experience comparing effectiveness?

You inspire me a lot on both your threads in terms of how you waited for the long run, did the right investment in high quality stuff and are now achieving the results you aimed for. Congrats, man!

Because AI is absolute shit. I know it can work, but I hate it. I prefer quality over quantity. Always did, always will. I've seen lots of sites working with AI content in my niche but they always get caught on by Google. For example, I've had one competitor using AI content and he was always outranking me until the last month... His website went from 700K traffic to 15K traffic. I don't know if Google punished him for using AI content, but I don't see any other reason. AI content is definitely the future, but I like to live in the present and use my high-quality writers that have a lot of knowledge about the niche they write the content for.

Thank you so much! Many people don't succeed because of a lack of discipline and patience. I used to be one of those people, but I've learned from my mistakes.

July Monthly Update

Another big month. This is the best month I've EVER had. I don't know what to say. The traffic is rising up again, and my affiliate articles are killing it. I just hope that the recent Google Update won't mess this up. Here are the earnings for the last month:

Amazon: $12,767.39
Screenshot 2022-08-05 at 00.08.11.png

Adthrive: $6,736

Guest posts: $800

Total earnings in July: $20,303.39

I'm completely shocked and extremely grateful. This is what I've been working for. This is why I've been grinding my ass off for the last 2 years. This is what makes me. This is probably why I'm still alive today. I'll make a separate post about my life, how this website got me into a deep depression and panic attacks, and how I recovered mentally and got to where I am today—more about that next week.

Everything about the last month has been almost perfect, except the RPMs. RPM dropped by a couple of bucks, so I've missed out on $1K-$1.7K in earnings, but hey, I won't complain. As you can see, I corrected my stupid mistake, and I finally expanded to other Amazon territories; I just used the US and UK Amazon before. Now I'm covered with almost all countries. This quick little fix will bring me $400-$500 more every single month if things continue like this :)

I'm still unsure whether I should sell my website, but I'm definitely more inclined to sell it than keep it. Why is that? Allow me to explain.

If I get somewhere between $450K and $640K, I can make 2 houses with pools and one smaller house for myself. Thankfully, I already got the land that my grandfather gave me. The land itself is worth around $120,000-$170,000, and I've got around $70K-$100K in savings. With these 2 houses, I can earn about $50K per summer.

Sure, I make that in 3 months from my site, but the houses here won't lose their worth, and I can always flip them for more in the future. When it comes to websites and blogging in general, you never know what could happen. You can always get hit by the big G and lose all of your hard work overnight.

On the other hand, I also need a fresh start. I love this website with all of my heart, but I stress too much about it. For example, every single morning when I wake up, the first thing I do is log onto my laptop and check Google Analytics. If I see that the traffic is down just 1% from the last week, I get so stressed out and annoyed. When it's one of those days, I make a coffee and sit on the laptop for 3-4-5 hours trying to find out why is that. Then I start overthinking that my website is slowly dying or some shit like that. Yeah, I'm crazy, I know.

Anyways, I'm still just thinking about it, I haven't made a final decision yet.

I think this is it for this update. I wish all of you the best of luck on your own journeys, and remember, never EVER stop chasing your dreams. You can do it, just have a little faith in yourself.

Yours truly,
Mentolinho

I would sell. You never know with Amazon.

Given that your revenue is still on the rise, you will fetch a good amount of money.

Woah, am I dreaming or is this real :D

How many articles do you have now?
Thank you, this is real! :)

There are currently 1254 published articles on the site.

Good journey.
You can sell or keep, u win both ways

Yep, I definitely have a lot more to think about, but I'm more inclined to sell it than to keep it. As I've said, I can do a lot of things if I sell the site. But, we'll see.

Nice work mate! This is motivation!

Damn, most of it outsourced? :)
Every single article was outsourced. Actually, I'm lying, I think I wrote like 5-6 articles by myself :D and that's it! Thanks a lot, I've opened this thread with a goal of motivating other people :)

I would wait until the end of the year because the Q4 pays the most in ads + people like to spend more in Amazon so your website would sell for more.

However you can always get hit by Google so if you get a Great offer now consider selling it

A job well done on your progress so far.. It's amazing to see that you have been able to hit your goal in accordance with the thread's title, going from less than $14k/mo to crossing $20k, just within a space of 3 months of opening the thread. I hope you are able to take this even further up, within the next few months. :)

That said, I would like to ask few questions;

1) Given how broad 'Home improvement' is, did you start up as a general site or picked a specific sub-niche of the top-level niche to focus on.
2) If sub-niche, how were you able to pick the right sub-niche to focus on, knowing there are several other potential sub-niches to be selected from?
3) Your site earn bulk of its revenue via affiliate commissions, at what point did you start writing affiliate-focused content?
4) Do you still remember when you made your first $1k/mo?
5) Did you wait until you reach the traffic threshold for AdThrive, before running Ads or did you run ads from some other Ad networks but with lower traffic requirement?

Once again, congrats on your winnings!

d recommend you not to use Ezoic, just use Adsense and when you reach the Adthrive/Mediavine requirements, then apply there. Ezoic tends to slow down your site a lot. But, if you really need to generate some money, by all means, go for it.
You probably have some plugins installed on the website that is making Ezoic have such negative effect.
