Send in Blue account suspended.

I have just received this email from Sendinblue after trying to bulk send to 100 contacts:


  • How did these contacts give their explicit consent to be used as recipients for your email campaigns?
  • Have you had any sort of communication with these contacts within the past two years?
  • What is the link to your subscription form?
  • How many contacts do you plan to email through Sendinblue?


I manually collected these email address from websites "contact us" pages in order for a collaboration request.

I thought it was okay? Any help with answering this in the best way possible?

Should i just say that i got them from the contact us page on various websites? Or will that not be allowed?

You should probably have read their TOS. I don't think they allow cold emailing, they want 100% opt-in email contacts.

You have no other ways to justify your email list other than to honestly answer them and hope they'll be lenient toward you.

Thanks for the response. They were not actually too lenient. They didn't send the campaign and banned the account. It was a genuine error.
