I'm offended! My YT Guru said IM is easy. He said I just have to click three buttons to profit. I purchased his eBook entitled, "How I earned $1,287.97 in 5 Minutes!", and it only costed me $1,287.97 to buy it. Now I have his method but I'm totally lost and his "support department" doesn't respond to emails or support tickets.

    I feel personally attacked.

Now how am I supposed to become a YouTube guru? People are going to read this post and then realize I'm full of shit.

    This is more than true.

I personally have to deal with this a lot at the start, even now it's still there. I'm in college and it's a pain staying in your room working 12-14 hours per day (I logged the time).

But I start seeing result now and I would say it's definitely worth it. I'm trying to make my business sustainable and hand-free as possible so I can live the life that I actually wanted.

For all of you out there, shit is hard sometimes, but one day you will be glad you did it. Keep going!

Just got this literally on my thread hahaha.
    Someone is saying

" How would this work "
" This won't work I have tried it just now " No shit sherlock this was a method that took my time to make it work. It's not like going to work overnight.

Damn lol. You're already helping them but still discredit contribution.

    I really enjoyed reading this!
Quick question.. I've been programming for a bit over 4 years and I've never had an actual programming job (due to my location)
I managed to land a position at a non profit organization because I felt as if that will benefit me in the future landing a real programming job
whenever one pops up on monster. (I even contact local businesses asking if they need a programmer)
So I really am trying to take every opportunity to make me get a better shot at landing a real programming job when the time comes.

But I've been thinking, should I do some freelance work? Freelancer is filled with indian bots.
Or develop a piece of software that I can sell?
I'm not sure where to start as a software developer online.
    What would you recommend?

@Billy Batts You never fail to inspire by your words.
Appreciate your efforts to unleash the bitter truth about IM that no one wants to talk about.

Finally someone putting it out. From what I have experienced first hand, nothing is easy when it comes to IM. Those gurus just make it look easy and when people try it, it doesn't work that easy and they get discouraged.

I think you've said what deep down everyone knows, but refuse to believe, because that will shatter most dreams/hopes of a better life.

I haven't made any money with AM yet, learning the hard way that it's not an easy game, and frankly I'm losing any belief in myself in the process, because I've no idea whether what I'm doing is any good or not.

While I like your threads and you being straight forward, I read so many "elite" members saying "this doesn't work" " that no longer works" " this is temporary and won't last" etc. This is what gets me discouraged to continue and I'm almost inclined to roll with guru talk that "anyone can make it" even if it's absolutely bullshit, because at least it gets you moving. And that's how guru's get to people - the disbelief in MMO yet hope for the better.

But I'm slowly coming to conclusion, that not everyone can make it. Even if you're not half-assing thing and genuinely putting in hard work and hours, that doesn't mean you will be successful. Sure, you might have a better chance, than somebody who isn't doing shit, but luck plays a big part in success, imho.

I think networking plays a big part, not luck.
Network with the right people and people who have money and big ambitions. You can make money.
It's not luck. It depends on how you reel in the big whales with your small fishing boat.

Wow many replies :) today I'm in bed, my own fault. I can deal with a lot of things in life but when it comes to my grandfather and grandmother, having a hard time cooping with emotion.

My grandmother besides her dementia is not doing so well and when I heard the news had a week moment, went boozing and now I'm fucked up.

Still working though, not behind my desk but in bed on my laptop :D the grind continues.

Gheghe yeah, I'm always good at keeping myself entertaint.

Aight. My past is important, without it I probably be like most and would have nothing to inspire people with.

    Bwahaha

It's cool bro eat a banana

Lol you can check gifs all day on giphy now start reading damnit!

    Thanks for reading.

Exactly, you lucky your still young I'm turning 39 in frikking 8 days o_O:D luckily for me I have a young character and some mixed Asian in me so still look young ghegeh.

Yeah, usually goes like that, people want things ASAP.

Hell yeah! But like marketing there are plenty of people doing it so you can't half ass it. Make a bomb ass website with some demo projects, portfolio, convincing text that you are the go to person.

You should get into up work although getting accepted is quite hard if you come unprepared, they even denied ME the first time :D

And on top of that you can create a piece of software and either give it away or sell it on your website as long as it's something useful.

Thank you for the positivity and I'm only just beginning :D gonna hit YouTube somewhere this year. Really didn't want to go public as I got quite some haters and enemies from the past but fuck it. Due all the positive replies I always get I want to do something with it.

That's how it usually goes and that's why I'm working on my own course taking a more realistic approach and actually helping and motivating people.

I'm telling you, luck has absolutely nothing to do with it, look at my life, how was I lucky hahaha?:D

If anything, I'm probably one of the biggest guys in BHW who was unlucky for 20years.

The reason you are failing is because you already said it, you don't know what you are doing wrong. You should hook up with some other marketers at conventions or places they meet and share knowledge.

Anyone can do IM but not everyone can live this lifestyle as it isn't all glory and fun.

    Exactly.

Hahaha man he still at it lol saw him in the 90's

    Ty.
