NEW FEATURE: Ranking Keywords

Inside SpamZilla you can already see how many pages an expired domain still has indexed in Google
We have added a new feature called "Ranking Keywords" which will show you the keywords a domain is still ranking for in Google.

Simply find a domain that's still indexed in Google, click to the SZ Score to open the data tabs and go to the Ranking Keywords tab.
This will display the keyword, the Google ranking position, the URL, Search Volume and more.

When rebuilding a domain for your PBN, try rebuilding the URL's that are still ranking for keywords ;)

Up Front, I did not pay for this trial.

Pros

This is most likely the best domain hunter that I've found over the years. I have seen loads on the marketing and most likely used them all, it's normally a fancy spreadsheet with data that you don't really need.

With SpamZilla, it's just clean and useful. I love the way you can skim through decent domains unlike most of its competitors on the market, plus the fact that you don't need to use your own resources is nothing but fantastic.

One thing I do like is the way they pull in 'topics' from Majestic so can visually and quickly work out if a domain is just spam, without having to open up Ahrefs, skim through links etc, it just prevents a big ball ache but getting rid of churning through links etc.

The other thing that is just awesome, it will tell you how many domain register landing pages have been recorded in way back machine etc - For me, that's just brilliant, as most decent SEOs will know, a domain register landing page between renewal dates is basically telling Google that the domain is brand new again, you will arguably lose all credibility of the history, that is a fact and one that SPamZilla highlights very very quickly.

Another awesome feature is the link with SEMrush so you can see how many keywords the domain is showing for before you purchase, this is gold for me!!

I've found about 7 high-end domains that are ranking and very very clean... I didn't really need to even check the backlinks after learning to trust SPamZilla.... Although I have sanity checked before buying because I'm just like that!

Cons

Sometimes I would trigger the helpful tips that I have to close, you know the ones that pops up to show you what each button does, you have to keep hitting 'next' which is a tiny bit annoying but you can turn it off..its not a biggy.

I'm not a fan of the menu, I just prefer the hamburger style menu but thats my person preference.

Overall

I will be continuing with this service, it is just a massive timesaver. I would go as far to say its the best on the market, I have most likely used them all

I've received credits for the review.

Like @ThatSEO in his detailed review above (Kudos!) I've been really very positively surprised about the mountains of information spamzilla makes available. I couldn't think of a single data point that hasn't been taken into account. Yet with all this information, it's surprisingly easy to use the system, filter the millions of domains down, sort them and dive in for a closer look.

Every internet marketer has their favourite metrics (Ahrefs, Majestic, Moz or Semrush), and Spamzilla offers them all and comfortably links to these tools (so you can directly jump to the right page in say Ahref and get the full information if you have an account there). As for me, I prefer to use MOZ authority data, Ahref backlink data and Majestic's topics and link language indicators.
Best of all worlds...

But where Spamzilla really gets into a league of its own is with data about domain history:
- sortable and filter-able columns of how many pages are still indexed with Google, a host of history-related potential abuse indicators (how often dropped, how often parked, redirects, owner changes)
- and with the incredibly useful drill down options: see what keywords it still ranks for at Google, see web.archive.org thumbnails, backlinks and link history (without having to jump to Ahrefs)

You can see when a domain expires, where it's auctioned and the price, and again, can jump directly to the right sales page to bid on it.

The only weakness I've seen is that it still is rather english-focussed on TLDs, but I'm assured that other major country TLDs will be added in a few weeks.

Overall - if you're planning to buy expired domains, you won't be able to find anything that comes close to Spamzilla, at a price far below that of the competitive service, which used to own that market.
