An idea crossed my mind today. For an IG/twitter account to grow big takes a lot of time.

So lets say an account started fresh takes 12 months to reach 12k people. And the plan is to use CPA to monetize when it hits the 12k mark, and say this account gathers 1k users every month. These arae unique followers to this account.

Now say instead of one account pulling the weight, i make 12 accounts in the same niche and put the option to follow unique users. the 12 accounts together are targetting unique users but because the weight is spread out, they have a higher total follow/unfollow rate (means less likely to get banned for the same account pursuit), which helps. Then once each of the account reaches 1k, I could send the CPA link to all of them from each individual account to their respective followers.

Is there anything wrong with this method? any flaws? Does it turn people off to show a CPA link at 1k users?

I suppose this method could work for anything else too. Like I could make another account and then shoutout that account from all 12 and collect them there.

(Sorry if this has been answered before I couldn't find anything)

No, it's not. You'd be better off with 12 accounts for CPA purposes with 1k followers each for more than one reason. The main reason is that if you build only one account and it gets banned anywhere in the process, you can start everything all over again, a year is a long time. If you have 12 accounts and you don't link them, it's unlikely that all of them get banned at the same time, so even if you lose a few, there will be still some left. Plus if we follow your theory, you don't have to wait for the monetization for a year, just a month.

With a 12k account i wouldn't do blatant CPA promoting though, i'do something more subtle, promoting a legit niche site or something along those lines. 1k churn-burn accounts are perfect for CPA. If they get banned or burned, they are are dime a dozen.

It is a good idea and it is already used by many people, having multiple accounts help when it comes to bans. Be sure to keep the rate of posts/spam not too high and use aged accounts.

Yea I think I did the math wrong in my head. But yeah, your whole post makes sense. I guess I could strategize by leeching off of giant brands with huge engagement with multiple accounts (and setting option to follow unique users) and in that way completely get their userbase to follow me back right?

The more workers I can add the more people I could pull and the faster I could do. But they also cost more. Any more extra tips and tricks do you know?

Whether they follow back or no, it's up to them. They're following big brands, you need to give them a damn good reason to follow a small account back.

I don't actively do any of this anymore, but generally you need to pay attention who you follow, you want to follow active accounts, avoid inactive ones and bots. There are different criterias what you can use to determine activity e.g. when the did the user posted, liked last, if most of their posts contain an url, those can be bots or other marketers, you don't want to follow such accounts. There are bots, which utilize these criterias, so you can filter out inactive accounts and bots with a good accuracy.

Safe settings and limits are important too. I don't really have up to date info regarding this, but if you browse the appropriate subsections, those will help. You might want to take a look at the journey section too, there are plenty of threads about people starting social media from scratch, those are great, if you don't want to commit the same mistakes and you'd rather make your own. :)

Where can I look into to learn more about what you just said here? How do I select target brands/users to leech followers off of them? and how do i make my page more "followable" ?
