Hello All,
I am member of this awesome forum for a long time now. I got introduced to this world in 2010 time frame when I started my 1st website as a curiosity. It was whole new world for me and BHW guided me a lot. Those were the times, install a piece of software, set couple of parameters and boom! Your site will be on steroids. Good old days I must say. Although never able to monetize my site as it was crap as hell!
Lately due to other priorities like education, career, I was thrown away from this world of SEO. Suddenly this year I realized how I missed spending numerous hours reading guides, methods of awesome bhw guys here. The most mesmerizing thing I always feel is ,these people are actually making real money. So again picked up reading forums, methods and oh boy! World has changed tremendously in last couple of years. The SEO terminology has become next to rocket science and I feel as if I have aged couple of decades in a flash.
Well that's all about the background pitch, just to let you guys know what level of "knowledge " I have on SEO (I am afraid to even use word knowledge. I am next to noob I must say).
Now I am again back to "curious me". Followed couple of threads on long tail keywords, created site, did onpage SEO, ranking few pages (maybe on luck), getting daily 5-10 real organic traffic (no. Please don't laugh. Average is 6 visits per day. Oh god, why am I laughing on myself??). Now I am stuck with the biggest question and contradiction on BHW:
What really works in 2022 for offpage SEO?
the biggest contradiction because I found the BHW marketplace is divided into two verticals
1. SEO experts doing traditional link building (web 2.0, .edu .gov, PBN, etc) who are claiming daily ranking improvements
2. SEO experts claiming all these traditional methods will harm money site as those are spammed till death. And "niche edits, guest posting " are the way forward.
Well here I am. Totally stuck. Have less than $100 to invest. It's equivalent to 8k INR. Just to give a prospect how much 8k means for a regular Indian guy is, 3 or even 4 star hotel 1 night stay is less than 4k INR in many tourist destinations across India. So $100 is like spending whooping amount for us.
The 1st option is within budget but later option worries. While the 2nd option sounds cool and convincing, the budget I carry can hardly throw some no-follow crowd link.
My keywords are easy, long tail ones. Although competition is zero, yet those are not ranking. I need honest opinion and guidance here. What should I choose?
Please don't recommend a service because you are offering it. Be generous as much as possible because I feel this confusion is common across "noobs" like me. I don't have a goal of earning $100/month. But even if I get back all the invested money back through affiliate commissions or advertising income, I would consider it as my 1st successful attempt.
Awaiting honest response.
