I see the requirements have been updated slightly, but it is still extremely time consuming to find threads meeting such criteria without some sort of automated means of doing so. I think the word count requirement should be much lower. I haven't seen any new subforums partly due to this.
Yo, the word count was changed from 250 to 175 as the staff thought that would be more reasonable.

Do you think that is still too high?

I think a lot of people get burned while dealing with newbies. There should be 'badge' next to such newbies mentioning : 'Deal with caution' or something like that till they are old enough on the forum. You can also incorporate 'trust score', if that makes sense.

Ths is great for sellers selling the same sites of the same sheets, from the same resellers based on DA metrics.
All this would do would create a race to the bottom with people under cutting each other.
For those of us doing genuine outreach, with our own team in place, we don't share sites like this.
I think I've vetted 60k links from vendors over the years, I would guess. (maybe more, but it's hard to tell with duplicates)
Most are inevitably the same sites.
One thing I can attest to is that ordering blind doesn't work-out about 50% of the time.
There are site lists out-there, and memberships for site-lists, and some of them have bidders.
Anyone with scrapebox can acquire URLs, and mass mail for editorial post quotes.

My issue is that I find it easier when it's managed.
So, it's not about acquiring lists, as is the paranoia, it's about vetting the properties, and ensuring an ethical price.
So, you and others might not put posts into the system, but if someone put them there, and added a bid, I don't see why everyone would not then enter the race.
It would be better for the consumer, and it would force vendors to consistent margins.
That might make it unprofitable for some, I suppose.
I guess it would reveal sites to low-quality vendors.

There are some pros and cons, but overall, I think it's better for the buyer.
You could restrict access to the list to reputed buyers and sellers, if security is a concern.
I think it's good for the seller, too, because if margins are consistent, then buyers don't have to worry about being cheated.
If I pay a 100% margin on several posts each, and I see it somewhere else for 50% cheaper (each), that seller isn't going to get my business, again.
So, they made their one-time fee, which I guess they will feel good about, but they lost the opportunity for monthly purchases, which could be several times greater, or more.
It also feeds the ranking potential, right? Which feeds the potential to better bootstrap the link purchasing expenditures.

I buy SEO services, and I sell them, also, so I get both sides.
Overall, I'm just trying to think of better ways for things to be easier to handle, etc.
I don't expect to see anything like this implemented, but... it'd be nice, I guess... in some form or another.

Yes. 175 words is about 2 paragraphs give or take.
For moderate discussion on a method, etc it's a fitting amount but for casual discussion on a hot / trending topic it seems to be a bit high. Maybe decrease it to about 100

Also 50 threads - I know it's an indicator of a really popular topic / section starter but seems to be rather high as well.

Not to chip away at the great work done on BHW already, just giving a suggestion on this.
Also appreciate you asking for my thoughts.

As part of our on-going commitment to improve the community (jeez, that sounded corporate...), we want to know what you would like to see around the forum.

To clarify, this thread is specifically about the forum, not the marketplace.
Will you ever launch a Discord server for live chat or live chat here? :)

There should be a dedicated section for lLnk Building. And there should be a compilation of all the important link-building threads posted on BHW till now by honorable members of BHW.

That's a good suggestion and this has been suggested by dozens of members before you. But as you can see this is a forum, it won't be a good idea to shift from a forum platform to a live chat platform. As it will take away the original idea of creating a forum. Another problem with the discord platform is that it's really hard to keep up with the different topics. There's no way to organize threads that are important even if we create specific channels for each section. But it would be great to have a live chat platform here.

I would like to see a Python section added to the Programming Sub-Forum. Python is and has been arguably the most popular programming language for quite some time and there are lots of Python-related discussions happening on the forum. Not sure why we still have a VB6 section, as it's pretty much been outdated since America Online, dialup, the WWF, and Jenny Jones.

Keep the Edit button but add an edit history.. specially for the 1st post and also for the Marketplace.

Threads can only be edited for up to 1 hour after they’ve been posted. After that, you have to message a moderator to make the edits for you.

If you have a mod edit one of your threads, it’ll say “last edited by a moderator at ‘time’. “

I agree with the edit history being important. In the BST section, a moderator posts the changes made the to thread.
